Crazy Joe Lieberman: Bomb Iran

Joe Lieberman has officially lost his mind. On Face The Nation last week, Lieberman is planning to start World War III by advocating a "strike over the border into Iran."

MIKE MALLOY: "He talks about how Iran is supplying Hamas and Hezbollah. Then why not solve the Iranian/Palastinian issue, Joe? Why not do that? Why not really sit down and settle it?... You want to start WWIII - you and the Christian fundamentalists. You make me sick to my stomach.

And his attitude about the people of Iran is just astonishing! Astonishing! He says "I think we've got to be prepared to take aggressive military action against the Iranians." Not the government, not Iran, not the leadership, THE IRANIANS! Hey Joe, they're not Arabs. Does that matter to you? They're not Arabs, they're Persians. There's a Jewish population in Tehran, there always has been.

How do we get stuck with this kind of slime dictating what our country's gonna do?

Lieberman is a danger to this country. He says, "By some estimates, as many as 200 Americans have been killed" by Iraqis being trained in Iran. What is he talking about?! Where does that come from? That's like Saddam Hussein has a nuclear weapons program, we have to go kill him, quick!

... I don't know... blessed are the peacemakers... that's really funny. Doesn't that become funny? And the thing about Lieberman, he's one of the biggest opponents in the Senate of violent video games and violent television! Oh, okay, no fake violence on TV, no Sopranos, but let's go bomb those filthy Iranians! Kill 'em all! Kill! Kill! Kill! Kill!..."

Weapons of Mass Destruction Found... in Our Oceans!

Well apparently we needed to look no further than off our shores to find weapons of mass destruction. We invaded Iraq to look for something that wasn't there, because it was being dumped just off our coastline.

From the Daily Press:

"The Army now admits that it secretly dumped 64 million pounds of nerve and mustard agents into the sea, along with 400,000 chemical-filled bombs, land mines and rockets and more than 500 tons of radioactive waste - either tossed overboard or packed into the holds of scuttled vessels."

"We do not claim to know where they all are," said William Brankowitz, a deputy project manager in the Army Chemical Materials Agency and a leading authority on the Army's chemical weapons dumping."We don't want to be cavalier at all and say this stuff was exposed to water and is OK. It can last for a very, very long time."

Hundreds of dolphins washed ashore in Virginia and New Jersey shorelines in 1987 with burns similar to mustard gas exposure. One marine-mammal specialist suspects Army-dumped chemical weapons killed them.

This is a facsinating story that should be read in full.
