Karl Rove spoke the truth for a change... and found the wingnut backlash so objectionable to his sensitivities, he caved to them and endorsed the nominee he thought was unelectable just hours earlier.
Karl then.
Karl now.

I have to admit I am all mixed up over this whole Rove thing.
First, as much as I agreed with him dissing O'Donnell, I was LIVID that he was accusing her of lying about someone's personal life -- ahem, Bridget McCain!
Then he flipped. I was seriously shocked. I wondered last night if he would walk it back and then convinced myself he wouldn't. I can't believe things have gone THIS crazy. So crazy that Rove would walk back his own opinion was not something I EVER expected. Why can't he walk back his real damage?

He can't walk back his real damage because he doesn't believe he ever caused any damage. But it shows you how the far, far wingnut right as taken over the Republican Party when even Karl Rove, the architect (probably under pressure from Fox News Corp.) walked back his statements on O'Donnell.
Exactly.
