Of course, if Barbour can actually read, he could start with President Obama's two autobiographies."This is a president that we know less about than any other president in history....There is not much known about his time in college or growing up. We don't know if he chopped down a cherry tree. We don't know any of the childhood things we know about Ronald Reagan. I don't say it as an insult or as anything other than an observation."
~Mississippi Republican Governor Haley Barbour on President Obama's myterious past.

We may not 'know if he chopped down a cherry tree' in his youth, but we sure know the kind of man he is today - one who is thoughtful, empathetic, genuinely concerned about America and its role in the world, AND who, despite major obstruction, is gamely trying to fix the mess in the country. Can Barbour say the same about himself, a man with whose childhood he's intimately familiar?
he really is the worst kind of slimy politician. I met him once. He was like Newt, sleazy and creepy. he is also the very worst of us. human beings, Americans and southerners. it really is institutional.
