An interesting tidbit:
Bill White (D-TX) won Texas moderates OVERWHELMINGLY.
Also, 11% of Texans who voted for Obama in 2008 voted for Rick Perry this year. However, 10% of Texans who voted for McCain voted for White this year.
That says that the Texas races had NOTHING to do with Obama despite Republican's attempt to make it so.

Just wanted to say 'Hi' Jennifer. I'm flipping from favourite site to favourite site in the hope of finding some little titbit to ease my spirit. I am so discouraged right now.
Thank you for YOUR efforts and passion displayed in your posts over the course of this election. They have made the course a little easier for me to follow.
Thank you! It is nice to know other people like to read what I think.
I am still mulling everything over. I think it was a mixed bag last night. We won good races and lost some good races. The Senate and WH are ours and the House isn't mush better set than it was under us. Pelosi had to work her ass off to accomplish what she did. It's now the Republican's turn. And Boehner is going to have more than cats to herd. He's going to have to herd cats and dogs and rats... They actually have to work now.
Jennifer
You're welcome!
Sullivan linked to an article at Slate that helped me a little bit, as it reminded me that Boehner doesn't really have any solutions/plans. [http://www.slate.com/id/2273344/] I suppose now I'll just have to wait through their noise and nothingness until the next election. I'm still rooting for Prez O, and trust him to deal calmly and strategically with these guys as he continues to (try to) put stuff in place for the middle class.
I think re-election efforts start today.

I think Boehner plans to cry a lot.
As a mom raising a son, I don't like to criticize men who cry. I love Tom Hanks and Russell Crowe and they cry. My grandpa, a football coach, cried. But what concerns me about Boehner is that those tears are going to create terrible orange stains all over the place. Someone has to clean all that.
Jennifer
True... but one question: What if Nancy Pelosi had just once, cried?
If Pelosi cried it would've been on Fox 24/7.What we've learned these last 2 years is that she had more balls than Reid and Obama.
