The Challenger Tragedy
I remember watching this in my living room with my girlfriend at the time. It was a sunny day, a day or two after a blizzard in New York City. We just sat and watched in silence.

I was in the sixth grade and stayed home sick from school that day. I watched and called my mom at work to tell her. I was in NH and NH took Christa MacAuliffe's death extra hard. I remember my teacher, a wonderful man, would cry when we discussed it in class because he had known her. It really cemented the level of seriousness for a young kid.
