NY Times: LeRoy Neiman, whose brilliantly colored, impressionistic sketches of sporting events and the international high life made him one of the most popular artists in the United States, died on Wednesday in Manhattan. He was 91.

I remember after the first ALI-Frazier fight getting in the mail Sports Illustrated whose cover was a Nieman painting of both fighters.
I remember thinking that it was going to be a collectors item but accidentally wound up getting destroyed.Great watercolor sports artist.
