Sully Gets It

I know, I know. Andrew Sullivan comes with baggage. But for the last four years, he has made more sense than not, and far more sense than many people in all parties. Like him or not, Andrew Sullivan GETS President Obama. And it was nice hearing someone say what many of us have been saying for years. So, thanks, Sully. It was a pleasure having you express reality so clearly.

You can watch him on Hardball

or read his insight in Newsweek.

I would like to add, that when Chris Matthews asks why the Obama team doesn't shout his accomplishments, they do. The media just misses it, ignores it, or doesn't get the significance.

Thanks to The Obama Diary for getting this online so fast!

Misses, ignores, doesn't understand the significance OR argues that the WH shouldn't brag about its accomplishments when they still have such a long way to go.

Just watched the video, haven't read the article yet.

The one thing I'd like to correct Sully on is his idea that Obamacare hasn't kicked in yet. Well, maybe not fully, but let's not forget young adults who can stay on their parent's insurance until they're 26, or those with pre-existing conditions that can no longer be denied coverage, or the closing of the Medicare donut hole, and a number of other points that have indeed already "kicked in." And it's only going to get better.

My other issue with Sullivan is that if he really does want President Obama to win a 2nd term, why did he endorse Ron Paul a few weeks ago, only to retract his endorsement after the huge backlash he received? Ron Paul? Really?
