Another Obama E-Mail Smear...

...landed in my mailbox today. It's the "Obama won't put his hand over his heart or recite the Pledge of Allegiance" smear, complete with picture.

Sigh. What a sad state of affairs when the patriotism of someone is questioned by whether or not they wear an American flag lapel pin or put their hand over their heart during the National Anthem.

Here is the quote from Snopes.com:

The text accompanying some versions of the e-mailed photo claimed that Sen. Obama "refused to say the Pledge of Allegiance." The activity taking place during the scene in the photograph involved the playing of the U.S. national anthem, not a recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance.

And just for fun, here's Dan Abrams schooling Rep. Jack Kingston for the same ridiculous smear. When are these idiots going to realize that patiotism is judged by your actions, not what you wear on your lapel or what magnet you put on your car?

By the way, the title of the e-mail is "A picture is worth a thousand words." Well, a picture may be worth a thousand words, but the truth is priceless.
