Opening Day!

This is one on my favorite days of the year. The trees are blooming, the birds are singing, and baseball is back!

I know the season officially started in Japan last Tuesday, and the US home opener happened last night at a beautiful new Nationals Park in DC (even if Bush did sully the night a little), but my official season starts with the first game of the year played by my beloved Mets. Anyone that knows me well, knows my rabid Mets fanaticism.

So for at least one day this year, I'm going to concentrate my energies on enjoying the Mets season opener and try not to let the horror of Iraq and our corrupt administration ruin it. I'm also waiting in anticipation for the final home opening day at Shea Stadium.
