As for the rumor last night that the McCain campaign was entertaining the possibility of announcing their VP choice, or at least leaking it, today- the anniversary of Hurricane Katrina and the final day of the Democratic National Convention in which history will be made as Barack Obama will be accepting the nomination, and the first African-American in history to do so - seems to be just a rumor.John McCain says he hasn't decided on a running mate just yet.
The Republican presidential candidate told a Pittsburgh radio station he wouldn't even talk about which way he is leaning.
Now that's what McCain says. What the campaign will do however, might be something different since we all know that John McCain does not speak for the McCain campaign. I'm guessing there'll be much more to this story by the end of the day.
UPDATE (1pm): McCain to announce his VP choice Saturday.McCain and his running mate are expected to appear together for the first time at one or more rallies, including one planned for Saturday in Pennsylvania.
