During his statement in support of Judge Sonia Sotomayor and his vote to approve her to the Supreme Court, Senator Al Franken defined the real meaning of "judicial activism" and pointed to the current Supreme Court as an example. It's times like this that I wished more Senators spoke with such conviction for what is right rather than what is advantageous to their party.

How sad is it that a freshman senator has to point this out?So far I love this take no prisoners attitude by Al and hope that the other democrats in the senate also speak their minds or find their balls.
