I watched the signing.. I have played the video over and over.. and you really can't hear what he said. Someone just wanted to make a big deal out of his saying it and put it out there...

But I have to say he is right... It is a BFD... just no need for the press to continue to push it..

Exactly right, Annette. It's seems a lot of these guys need to be more careful, since they should be held to a higher standard and they are constantly surrounded by press and live mics. But in the grand scheme of things, I think it the "oh, my virgin ears" reporting of it is overblown.

I'm going to take a look at the front pages of the papers the week that Cheney told Senator Leahy to "go fuck himself" on the floor of the Senate (which seems a bit worse to me) and see if there are any similar headlines.

Thats why they became the paper I use to read.Wouldn'a picture of Obama handing the pen to 11yr old Marcellus have been a more fitting and historic picture? As usual they buried the lead.
As for being held to a higher standard, tell that to those asholes who kept leaving the floor to go to the balcony to egg on those racist teabagging mofos all day Sunday. They respect lies more than they respect the truth.
