Statement from Congressman Chris Lee (NY-26)
"It has been a tremendous honor to serve the people of Western New York. I regret the harm that my actions have caused my family, my staff and my constituents. I deeply and sincerely apologize to them all. I have made profound mistakes and I promise to work as hard as I can to seek their forgiveness.
"The challenges we face in Western New York and across the country are too serious for me to allow this distraction to continue, and so I am announcing that I have resigned my seat in Congress effective immediately."

I know Democrats do this kind of stuff, but Republicans do it so much more. For every Eliot Spitzer we get a whole mini van full of guys like this along with their closet dwelling colleagues. What's that about?
I personally don't think that a politician's sex life matters one iota, but it's so much fun to see holier than thou types act just like the people they condemn. I'm guessing with the new wave of anti gay stuff coming from the Repubs that we will be seeing some new yummy scandals soon with cabana boys and gerbils.
