NY TIMES: Soupy Sales, whose zany television routines turned a pie in the face into a madcap art form, died on Thursday in the Bronx. He was 83.His former manager, David Usher, said Mr. Sales had died in a hospice after suffering from multiple health problems.

Soupy always made me laugh both as a kid and adult.Famous quote he got in trouble from his tv show "my girlfriend peaches can't cook but she can sure cream my banana"!I notice most of the obituaries I've read don't mention that he also had a smash hit record "the mouse".
Soupy Sales seemed to love his job, which is probably why it's so much fun to watch re-runs of his show
