Bill Clinton Can "Kiss My Ass"

Time's up, Bill. You've had your run and it's time to step aside and fade into that good night. If this "kiss my ass" comment is true, then that's how I feel about Bill Clinton. For all he has done for, and in some cases to the detriment of, the Democratic Party, it's better off that he stay as far away from the Obama campaign as possible.

A senior Democrat who worked for Mr Clinton has revealed that he recently told friends Mr Obama could "kiss my ass" in return for his support.

A second source said that the former president has kept his distance because he still does not believe Mr Obama can win the election.

..."He's saying he's not going to reach out, that Obama has to come to him. One person told me that Bill said Obama would have to quote kiss my ass close quote, if he wants his support.

"You can't talk like that about Obama - he's the nominee of your party, not some house boy you can order around.

Now of course Bubba is upset over perceived racial comments made while on the campaign stump for Hillary. But the "house boy" line by the unnamed aide really gives one pause, doesn't it?

Dealing With Stupidity In The General Election

I just came across an article in our local rag, The New York Daily News, entitled Ugly Truth Why HIllary Clinton Won't Quit:

...Many in the white, working-class crowd were simply not ready to back Barack Obama - for reasons that are disturbing.

"I'm kind of still up in the air between McCain and Hillary," said Jason Jenkins, 32, who cited information from a hoax e-mail as a reason to spurn Obama.

"I'll be honest with you. Barack scares the hell out of me,"he said. "He swore on the Koran."

Obama did manage to pull in many white voters, but still encountered similar sentiments from a man who refused to shake his hand at a diner in Greenwood, Ind.

"I can't stand him," the man said. "He's a Muslim. He's not even pro-American as far as I'm concerned."

And sadly, this is why shitheads like former New York City Mayor Ed Koch are calling Obama a loser in the general election and why Clinton still thinks she has a shot. It's the unspoken race issue. They hope that idiots will vote for Clinton not because they actually support her, but because they still think Obama is a Muslim, or they put too much emphasis on Rev. Wright, or they just won't vote for a nigger. Especially an uppity one who is smarter and richer than they are.

Mark Penn Has Jumped The Shark

Well... I really don't know what to say about the latest comments from Clinton Campaign chief strategist Mark Penn except that it seems Hillary should have fired his ass a long, long time ago.

In his most recent effort to garner support for his candidate, Penn came up with this gem:

“Winning Democratic primaries is not a qualification or a sign of who can win the general election. If it were, every nominee would win because every nominee wins Democratic primaries.”
So, let me get this straight, Mr. Penn: you are suggesting that even though Barack Obama is kicking your candidate's ass in primary after primary, winning in almost every demographic, raising $1 million a day in online donations and swinging some superdelegates over to his his side even after they've initially supported Clinton, the primaries really don't mean anything in terms of who can win in November.

Two questions: 1 - How did you get this job? and 2 - From what position were you fired previously?

The notion that Hillary has a better shot to win the general election when she can't even get a majority of Democratic voters to support her in the primaries would be a laughable one if it weren't so sad.

Bob Cesca analyzes Penn's tortured logic by stating, " [Penn is saying that] what the DNC should do is actually nominate the person who gets fewer votes/delegates/states in the primary process. Okay, okay, Mark. Bring on Democratic Nominee Joe Biden!"

Mark Penn has jumped the shark.
