Zzzzzzz... huh, what? Oh, right. Tim Pawlenty is throwing his hat into the ring.

And it looks like he's running on the "Insult Obama" platform with doozies like, "President Obama doesn't have the courage to face our problems" (0:50 mark) and "We're gonna have to do more than give fancy speeches. We've had three years of that and it's not working." (1:40 mark). 

I suppose T-Paw has fallen asleep to the sound of his own voice and missed the saving of about a million plus jobs with the auto loan that saved the American auto industry, which by the way, now has GM in the black. Or the turn around in job creation after President Obama took office. It's so easy to criticize when you're an armchair quarterback who said nothing during the ten years it took to get into this mess, but expect to he pulled out of it in two and a half years.

And hey, no need to thank President Obama for the $4 billion Minnesota received in stimulus funds, right T-Paw? That didn't help your state economy at all, did it? Oh wait, it did. But you go ahead and join the list of non-contenders this year. We'll be watching.

Well, He's Got MY Vote!

At the time of this posting, this video had 30,195 views and voting for the video was at 156 "likes" and 130 "dislikes." Heh. How's that for exploring? Also, I couldn't go without quoting the very first comment I read:

"Yeah, he limited government - and refused on multiple occasions to allow modest increases on gas taxes that would have paid for road and bridge maintenance - well the whole country saw I-35W crash into the Mississippi River. Here in MN, we've seen our property taxed [sic] rocket upward as he refused to help cities - all the while crowing that HE didn't raise taxes - guess what? My total tax bill is up. Timmy just passed the buck to the communities. He's just another flim-flam artist. Good riddance."

Bachmann's Anti-Census Rhetoric May Bite Her In The Ass

This is a fun little tidbit of information.

The state of Minnesota could be on the verge of losing a House seat after 2010 -- and interestingly enough, it's been a while since we heard Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) talk about refusing to participate in the Census.

...according to current population estimates, Minnesota is right on the cusp of losing one of its eight seats in Congress, and will be in a close competition with Missouri, Texas and California for that district.

...Bachmann's district would likely be the first to go if the state lost a seat. The other seats are all fairly regular-shaped, logical districts built around identifiable regions of the state (Minneapolis, St. Paul, the Iron Range, and so on). Bachmann's district is made of what's left over after such a process, twisting and turning from a small strip of the Wisconsin border and curving deep into the middle of the state. As such, the obvious course of action if the state loses a seat is to split her district up among its neighbors.

Oh, wouldn't that be sweet, sweet justice?

Minnesota GOP Sends Franken $96K

Is this a magic number or what? First Ensign's parent's send $96,000 in hush money to his mistress, and now this:

In the last chapter of a stinging loss to now-Sen. Al Franken, Minnesota's Republican Party has sent the Democrat almost $96,000 to cover lawsuit costs.

...Minnesota law required Republican Norm Coleman to reimburse Franken for some costs because the election lawsuit didn't change the outcome. The judgment excluded Franken's attorney fees.

Whew! I thought maybe Franken was secretly the Minnesota GOP's mistress... mister? Whatever.

Signing that check sure had to hurt. Heh.

Michele Bachmann: Armed and Dangerous

This lady is not playng with a full deck. Is she inciting a revolution?

“I want people in Minnesota armed and dangerous on this issue of the energy tax because we need to fight back. Thomas Jefferson told us ‘having a revolution every now and then is a good thing,’ and the people – we the people – are going to have to fight back hard if we’re not going to lose our country. And I think this has the potential of changing the dynamic of freedom forever in the United States.”

Now while it may be funny when, in her cluelessness she claims that RNC Chairman Michael Steele "be da man," it's not so funny when she suggests that there should be anti-American McCarthy-like hearings for "liberal" members of Congress and questions Barack Obama's patriotism.

I also sat dumbfounded as I watched the House Financial Services Committee hearing questioning Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner and Fed Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke and Bachmannn's questioning. I think Geithner and Bernanke were dumbfounded by her inane questioning as well. Watch their faces as they listen to and answer her questions.



Seriously? This is an elected representative from the great state of Minnesota. What the hell is she talking about?

What answer did she expect to get when asking them to renounce global currency? And the insanity of asking what provision in the Constitution could they point to that gave the authority to the Treasuty Dept. and the Federal Reserve to act as they did? It's called Congress, Michele. You know, the branch of government you belong to that controls the purse strings.

Michele Bachmann is not only clueless, she is out of her mind.
