They're not all gone...

Janet Neff, a nominee for a federal judgeship in Michigan is being blocked by Senator Sam Brownback (R-KS). Apparanty, this homophobe is placing hold on her nomination because in 2002, Ms. Neff attended a lesbian "commitment ceremony" of her longtime friend and next door neighbor of over 20 years. This took place in Massachusetts, where Neff has no authority and served in no official capacity in the ceremony that has no legal effect. I guess this isn't enough for Brownback.

Have I mentioned how much I hate these people?
