Equal Opportunity Offender

Fox News has put a bullseye on the back of Jon Stewart, ever since he exposed the FNC hackery in the Chris Wallace interview, by calling Stewart racist for making fun on Herman Cain's idea of not having bills larger than three pages long... you know, so they're... readable? Yes. Racist. The same company that hosts Eric Bolling on a daily basis is calling Stewart racist. So Stewart did what any comedian with a brain would do. He "mocked" himself while proving the point that he goes after everyone, not just black pizza franchise owners running for president who think reading 2,700 pages is too hard.

Stewart V. Wallace -UPDATED

Watch.

ADDING... This is the full, unedited version of the interview. Media Matters looks at an edit where Stewart criticized Fox executive Bill Sammon during an exchange about Fox getting "marching orders."

UPDATE (6/21/11): Jon Stewart took the time to point out the editing job of Chris Wallace's "fair and balanaced" interview.

Cheney Thinks He Kept Us Safe

Dick Cheney on Fox "News" Sunday: I guess the other thing that offends the hell out of me, frankly, Chris, is we had a track record now of eight years of defending the nation against any further mass casualty attacks from Al Qaida.
The approach of the Obama administration should be to come to those people who were involved in that policy and say, "How did you do it? What were the keys to keeping this country safe over that period of time?"

I could care less whether you're offended, DICK. Actually, stike that. I prefer you be offended on a regular basis. And even if the Obama administration did "come to those people who were involved in that policy" for advice, that wouldn't be you, DICK. If they wanted advice from your administration, it would be to check your notes for a "How NOT To Run The Government" strategy.
If you'll notice, the crazy Cheney rhetoric has morphed from "keeping the country safe since 9/11" to "keeping the country safe the for the last eight years." Hey, asshole, don't you mean a little over SEVEN years? Or are you thinking, "Well, except for that one time, we kept you safe. Oh, and the antrax thing... uh, that's twice. But other than those two times... uh, we kept you safe."
Uh... no, douchebag. We were hit under your watch. No other administration can make that dubious claim. Why on earth would Obama want advice from the only administration in the nation's history that fell asleep at the switch while vacationing for a fucking month in Crawford, Texas of all places?
Also read Andrew Sullivan ripping Chris Wallace a new asshole.

Time To Up Shelby's Meds

Senator Richard Shelby (R-Douchelandia) apparently forgot the date of the last election and when President Obama took office.

"Well, obviously. So, [the Obama administration] intervene[s] last fall in the bank crisis. No one has ever done it on that scale before. Now the automobile crisis."

Gotta give Shelby credit for realizing how incredibly stupid he sounded when he realized that he placed a date on the bank bailout as "last fall" and tried to correct himself by mentioning that it started with Bush, but BZZZT!!! Nice try, Senator Shelby.

Also, hey Chris Wallace, "Government Motors"? Fuck you. Your father's turning over in his grave. Huh, what? Mike Wallace isn't dead yet? ... Nevermind. The Mike Wallace part, not the "Fuck you, Chris Wallace" part.

Chris Wallace Defends Obama and Rips Fox and Friends

I know, right? I couldn't believe it either.

On Fox and Friends this morning, hosts Steve Doocy, Brian Kilmeade, and Gretchen Carlson spent multiple segments sensationalizing a comment Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) made yesterday, in which he referred to his grandmother as “a typical white person” in some of her racial reactions. Obama made the comment while discussing his recent speech on race relations in America on a Philadelphia radio show.

When the trio welcomed Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace onto the show, instead of previewing his show this weekend, Wallace announced that he was going to take his fellow Fox hosts “to task” for their “excessive” and “somewhat distorting” coverage of what Obama said:

Hey listen, I love you guys but I want to take you to task if I may, respectfully, for a moment. I have been watching the show since 6:00 this morning when I got up, and it seems to me that two hours of Obama bashing on this typical white person remark is somewhat excessive and frankly I think you’re somewhat distorting what Obama had to say.

Of course, the Fox & Friends idiots didn't get it, tried to defend themselves and Steve Douche-y sarcastically asked, "So on your Sunday show you're just going to tell people never to watch Fox & Friends again?" What a moron.
