I understand that tonight is the occasion for some manner of popular professional sporting competition. If I remember correctly, the Pittsdown Burghers Club will be challenging Ariel's Zone Canaries to an Americanized foosball match.
Well, may laurels rain upon the squadron with the most baskets under par after nine periods, which if the prognosticators on my Tee-Vee machine are to be believed, should be the Burghers Club by four dots, which sounds to me like an odd way of tabulating any kind of sporting match.
