Joe Scarborough Is An Idiot

Within the course of one Morning Joke™ broadcast, Joe Scarborough equates the Obama/Chavez handshake from Chavez just being misunderstood and maybe we should have been "more respectful of Stalin" and "some terrorists across the globe" would see the smile and handshake as "a sign of weakness" in the early hours of the broadcast, to backing off his initial statement so much, he got to this point by the end of the show: "...none of us here think it was a problem that he shook hands with the president of Venezuela, and I'm glad he smiled."

What a joke.

There was an email and phone call campaign over the weekend on Twitter to rein him in.. maybe some of it worked..I don't know. This was yesterday and today both, it looks like. I know today, right at 9 he said something about Jeff, I assume Zucker I think is his name.. head of NBC told him to cool it down.. or something like that.. So he got called on his mouth it sounds like, or so he said.. He may have just been talking too.

What I love is how, aside from Jon Stewart and precious few others, the TV talking head landscape is dominated by people who literally don't know what the fuck they're talking about EVER. Has this guy ever been right about anything? When he opens his piehole, does he ever make any sense? And yet there he sits and there he will likely continue to sit, bloviating on your TV screen and mine until one of us cracks and throws a shoe at the screen. I cannot take this guy.

Actually, this morning was a rare opportunity to watch a wingnut change their mind about something...
